Business Case

A need arose to delete a Sales Order transaction after the point where it was swept up in a WMS picking wave during our testing phase of implementation. It s not trivial to do so once this happens.

What are the steps to Delete a Sales Order with a related Wave associated?

  1. Open the wave
  2. Open each pick task in a separate tab
  3. If there are pick tasks with Item fulfillments – then the Item fulfillments must be deleted before moving on.
  4. Then click edit on each pick task
  5. Change the status from Done to Staged
  6. Save
  7. Click Edit again
  8. Change the Staging bin to blank
  9. Change the Picked Qty to Zero – not blank, but zero.
  10. Save.
  11. The Pick task should now show as “Ready”
  12. Do this for all pick tasks on the wave.
  13. Once all pick tasks are “Ready”, then you can delete the wave record
